Caswell Council for the Arts is pleased to announce their 2022 Caswell Student Art Show coming in May of 2022. The exhibit, which will feature artwork chosen among the best of our area youth, will be showcased at the Lee Fowlkes Gallery at 125 Main St. and the adjoining Co-Square at 106 Court Square from May 4 th – May 27 th. It offers local students grades K-12 the opportunity for a public exhibit, a juried review, and cash prizes for winners in the following age groups. (K-2, 3-5, Middle, High School).
Students attending Caswell County Public Schools will have their work chosen and submitted by their teachers. They do not need to submit work. Students with work chosen will be notified by their art teachers.
Caswell County residents not attending Caswell Public Schools can submit 2D and 3D Artwork for consideration at Caswell Council for the Arts’ Lee Fowlkes Gallery, 125 Main St. in Yanceyville on Mon, Wed. or Friday April 20th—April 27th from 10am—2pm or by appointment. 2D pieces do not need to be framed, but should be attached to a firm backing (cardboard works well) to help in hanging the work. Students who submit through Caswell Arts will be notified of acceptance into the show by May 2 nd.
An awards reception will be held at the Lee Fowlkes Gallery and adjoining Co-Square on Wed. May 11 th from 5:30- 7:30pm, with awards announced at 6pm for K-5 and 7pm for middle and high school. All are invited to attend.
