Registration

  • The cost is $20 for Caswell County Arts Council members. Each artist may submit up to two pieces for consideration.
  • The cost is $30 for artists who are not members of the Caswell Council for the arts. Each artist may submit up to two pieces for consideration. If you wish to become a member, please visit our membership page.

The Caswell Council for the Arts is pleased to announce our 40th Juried Art Show. We are currently seeking entrants: adult artists (18 and older) through North Carolina and Virginia are invited to enter the show.  

Calendar of Events:

Oct. 1st - submission deadline - all digital entries must be received
Oct. 11th - submitting artists will be notified regarding acceptance into the show
Oct. 29 - deadline to deliver accepted pieces to Caswell Arts
Nov. 13 - reception 11am - 1pm,  Awards ceremony 12pm; gallery open 10am - 2pm
Dec. 11 - Juried show exhibit ends

Awards: 

The show will be juried by Jimmy Craig Womble.  The following awards will be made:

Best in show (1st place): $350 plus the opportunity to exhibit in a solo show or group show (winner's choice) in June of our 2021 season 
Second Place: $250
Third Place: $150
Best Piece by a Caswell County Native or Resident: $100

Entries are limited to two-dimensional work.  Size should not exceed 24 inches in width and 36 inches in height.  Photography is not accepted for this show.  Any digital art submissions must be completely original or significantly enhanced, altered, and/or manipulated beyond the scope of a photographic image.  

Entry Fee:

Current members of the Caswell Council for the Arts: $20 per artists for a maximum of two pieces submitted.  

Non-members: $30 per artist for a maximum of two pieces submitted.

Payment may be made online during the registration process.

All preliminary entries will be digital.  You may submit one overall photo and an optional detail photo for each piece you are submitting. 

Entries will be notified regarding acceptance on October 11. 

Accepted pieces must be physically delivered or shipped to the Caswell Council for the Arts,  125 Main Street in Yanceyville, NC 27379.  The deadline for delivery is October 29, 2021.   

NOTICE:

Shipped pieces MUST be delivered to Caswell Arts in a reusable container with pre-paid shipping costs to and from Caswell Arts, PO Box 689, Yanceyville, NC 

Reception: 

A reception featuring all works accepted into the show will take place from 11 am to 1pm on November 13, 2021.  The awards presentation will take place at noon.  The gallery will be open in conjunction with Yanceyville's Second Saturday and will be open from 10 am - 2 pm.

All accepted works will remain on exhibit until December 11.  

Our mission: To increase arts awareness, educate our citizenry, provide positive opportunities for exposure to the arts, and to nurture local creative expression.
